ARCH 205 studio takes a deeper dive into how things work when it comes to architecture, opposed to the more conceptual work done in the previous studios. Things like structure and how materials can be joined together on a structure or building. More than that, it teaches one to think about architecture poetically at the same time which leads to higher levels of creativity and deeper meaning. A wall section I created to represent clarity of understanding is provided. With the future of automobiles moving to electric, or EV, we were given the option to design an alternative for EV charging stations using the idea and technology of a Parkmatic system. This cavity wall detail shows the construction of the energy station walls for the "CarScend" project. The charrette to create this cavity wall was a study on the construction of the built parts of the final project and was designed as an exercise to hold a better understanding before committing to the final production.
